Job summary

Bovelle, Reading-based, seeks an Associate Employment Solicitor to join its Employment team. The role focuses on contentious matters for employer clients, with a bias toward tribunal work and a pathway to develop a specialist niche.

You will handle your own contentious caseload, advise on related issues, and work closely with senior colleagues on high-value disputes, with a supportive, value-led culture and hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 1–6 years' PQE in employment law.
• Genuine contentious employment experience, or a mixed caseload with clear interest in more contentious work.
• Comfortable advising employer clients directly and building a specialist contentious practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own contentious employment caseload, including Employment Tribunal claims for employer clients.
• Advising on a mix of contentious and non-contentious issues for client relationships.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues on complex or high-value disputes and develop a niche in tribunal work.
