Job summary

Executive Network Legal Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Contentious Construction Associate Solicitor to join a national law firm's Birmingham office. You will handle a varied caseload of high-quality construction disputes for a prestigious client base.

The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years' PQE in contentious construction, with experience in adjudication, arbitration or court proceedings, strong drafting, client-handling skills and a commercial approach to career development.

Qualifications

• Solid contentious construction experience in a recognised team.
• Experience of adjudication and/or construction litigation.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Commercial approach and genuine interest in career development in construction disputes.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients including developers, contractors, employers, funders on contentious construction matters.
• Handle construction disputes arising from major development and infrastructure projects.
• Support senior lawyers on complex matters while managing your own caseload.
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Assist with adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings as required.
• Maintain high professional standards and deadlines across matters.
