Job summary

Executive Network Legal Ltd in Birmingham seeks a Contentious Construction Associate Solicitor to join a high-calibre national firm. You will advise on a broad spectrum of disputes for developers, contractors and other stakeholders, handling adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings.

The candidate should have 2–6 years PQE with solid experience in construction disputes, strong drafting and client-handling skills, and a commercial approach to career development in construction law.

Qualifications

• Solid contentious construction experience.
• Experience of adjudication and/or construction litigation.
• Strong technical drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Commercial approach and genuine interest in developing your career within construction disputes.

Responsibilities

• Advise a range of clients including developers, contractors, employers, funders and other stakeholders on contentious construction matters.
• Handle construction disputes arising from major development and infrastructure projects.
• Participate in adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings.
• Manage contract interpretation and disputes relating to delay, disruption, defects and payment.
• Support senior lawyers on complex, high-value matters while handling own caseload.
