Job description

Loqbox exists to build better borrowers. We’ve already supported 1 million members to improve their credit. And we’re just getting started. Whether we’re helping people build credit, grow their savings or simply understand how it all works, we’re here to unlock life’s possibilities and help people achieve their financial goals.

And we believe the best way to do that is to make people feel something.

About the role

Can you turn audience insight and creative ideas into words that make people stop, feel and act?

We’re looking for an experienced content marketer who knows that great content needs both creative spark and commercial impact.

Reporting to the Lead Content Manager, you’ll create persuasive, distinctive copy across paid advertising, social media, email, SEO, landing pages and more. You’ll collaborate with teams across Marketing, Partnerships and Product, taking ownership of briefs from the first flicker of an idea through to delivery and optimisation.

This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who genuinely loves their craft. One day, you might be shaping an advertising concept or refining a landing page. The next, you could be interviewing members of the public, appearing on camera or heading out to cover an event.

You’ll use audience insight, performance data and experimentation to make your work stronger, while helping us develop a braver, more distinctive Loqbox voice.

What you’ll do
  • Craft content that inspires, informs, and converts, helping more people create a happier, healthier relationship with money
  • Write copy across paid advertising, social media, email, SEO, landing pages, blogs and internal communications.
  • Own copy briefs from initial idea and concept development through to delivery and optimisation.
  • Use AI to produce quality content at scale.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of multi‑channel content spanning both copy and visual formats
  • Create engaging, relatable content for our platforms, interviewing members of the public and appearing on camera.
  • Write persuasive advertising copy that captures attention and drives conversions
  • Collaborate on weekly social media content calendars, increasing our follower growth and engagement rates
  • Match content to intent at every touchpoint in the customer journey, bringing the brand to life in a way that resonates with our audience.
  • Support the delivery of our SEO content roadmap, creating and optimising content to improve search rankings and discoverability.
  • Take part in cross‑functional experiments, using copy creatively to increase impact and optimise the experience for our audiences and members across new and existing channels.
  • Deliver monthly reporting for your owned areas, demonstrating the business impact of our marketing channels.
  • Step outside to create content. We create content and attend and cover events around Bristol and at locations across the UK.
  • Communicate our brand values and mission consistently across every content channel.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and projects at once, prioritising effectively and working to agreed timelines.
  • Help build a positive culture and be a cheerleader for your colleagues — we play together and win together.
About you

You’re a creative thinker and a confident writer, but you’re also curious about what makes content work. You’re happy developing a big idea, getting into the detail of a sentence or digging into the data to understand what to improve next.

You’ll also bring:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Content Marketer, Copywriter, Content Creator or similar role
  • Excellent copywriting, communication and presentation skills
  • Self‑awareness, a collaborative mindset and a genuine team‑player approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach and the ability to solve problems quickly.
  • Confidence using AI tools to research, create and edit your work.
  • The ability to turn audience insight, member behaviour and market behaviour into persuasive copy.
  • Curiosity and excitement about experimenting with new ideas, approaches, channels and playful social content.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of developments across advertising, brand, social media, platform algorithms and marketing best practice.
  • A commercial mindset, and confident using marketing data to understand performance and improve content.
  • An openness to feedback, as well as the confidence to give it, explain your decisions and present your ideas.
  • Previous experience in a high‑growth consumer technology business is a bonus.
  • A base in or around Bristol — we’re in the office together every Thursday.
  • Competitive salary based on your level of experience.
  • Annual performance‑related bonus
  • 25 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays, Christmas closure and a day off during your birthday month.
  • Enhanced parental leave package
  • Nomad working policy, allowing you to work abroad for up to 20 days.
  • Pirkx employee reward scheme, including access to a telephone GP, free counselling, high‑street discounts and more.
