Job summary

Missing People is seeking a Content Coordinator in London to join our Marketing and Communications Team. You will develop engaging audience-led content across our website, social media, email campaigns and other digital channels.

The role requires strong planning, writing and video skills, experience with SEO and stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to amplifying voices of people with lived experience.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience planning and creating content that shares and amplifies service users' voices.
  • Experience writing SEO, AIO GEO and AEO and user-focused website content.
  • Experience developing and managing content calendars.
  • Experience creating engaging social media content (video, images, blogs) per brand voice.
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders internal and external.

About the Content Coordinator

The Content Coordinator will play a key role in developing engaging, audience-led content across Missing People’s owned communications channels. Working as part of our award-winning Marketing and Communications Team, you will help bring our services, stories and campaigns to life across our website, social media, email marketing and other digital platforms. You will work with colleagues, volunteers, content creators and people with lived experience of missing to create accessible, impactful content that grows awareness, supports engagement and helps more people find the information and support they need.

The impact you will have

Your work will help missing children, adults and families affected by disappearance to access trusted information, support and services when they need them most. By creating compelling website, social media, video and e-newsletter content, you will increase understanding of the issue of missing, strengthen Missing People’s profile and help grow the communities of supporters who make our work possible. You will also help ensure our online spaces are managed safely, our communications are coordinated and consistent, and our content reflects the voices and needs of those we support.

About you

You will be highly organised, enjoy working with systems and data, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You will find full details of what we are looking for in the attached job description, and key requirements are:

Experience:

  • Significant experience of planning and creating innovative and inspiring content that shares and amplifies the voices and experiences of service users or customers – from briefing, insight and planning to creation and delivery.
  • Experience of writing SEO, AIO GEO and AEO and user experienced informed website content.
  • Experience of developing and managing content plans.
  • Experience in planning and creating engaging social media content shaped by insight (video for social, images, blog posts, storytelling, live video), following brand style and tone of voice; Experience of creating and editing short-form video content for social media platforms.
  • Experience of confidently and collaboratively managing a range of stakeholders including internal colleagues and external contacts.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • A solid understanding of the social media landscape, emerging channels and trends.
  • Exceptional ability to create and tailor content to different audiences and platforms, including a variety of mediums such as written, visual and video; Strong copywriting and editing skills Ability to take complex information and turn it into accessible communications for the wider public; Creative ability for storytelling through words, images and design.
  • A good understanding of managing online communities safely.
