Job summary

Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd is seeking an experienced process engineering Consultant to join our Stockport office, supporting energy infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.

You will contribute to multi-disciplinary delivery, liaise with project teams, and assist in technical contract drafting, with travel across the UK and EU as required. The role requires a good degree and several years of post-graduation process engineering experience.

Qualifications

• M.Eng in Chemical Engineering and actively pursuing C.Eng status.
• 4+ years process engineering experience post-degree.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary power/process projects with a project director.
• Experience with construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• Strong communication with both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel UK/EU including overnight stays.
• Proficient with MS Office and typical engineering software.

As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting an experienced process engineering Consultant, to be based in our Stockport office with some travel in the UK, Ireland, and EU.

We are looking for:

• a good chemical engineering M.Eng
• actively working towards obtaining C.Eng status
• 4+ years process engineering experience gained post degree preferably with some involvement in the consultancy sector.
• proven experience with the multi-disciplinary delivery of small to larger power/process projects, with the support of a project director and wider engineering team.
• experience of construction projects and technical contract drafting.
• good communication skills, with experience of communicating effectively with both engineering and non-engineering skilled audiences.
• full driving licence and willingness to travel in the UK and EU including occasional overnight stays.
• competent computing skills using MS office suite, engineering software, etc.
