Job Description:

About The Role

Currie & Brown is one of the world’s leading physical assets management and construction consultancies, dedicated to advising clients on the management and use of their physical assets. We are differentiated by our people, innovation, expertise, and experience.

Our team, from first-day apprentices to senior management, makes our business what it is today. Everyone in the Currie & Brown family plays a unique role in our success, and we enjoy our work along the way.

Due to recent appointments with Network Rail, EDF, and the Environment Agency, and supporting major projects in the Middle East from our UK offices, Currie & Brown are seeking ambitious and highly motivated Commercial Managers and Senior Commercial Managers with UK infrastructure experience to join our team. We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience in providing pre-contract and post-contract commercial services on £100m+ UK infrastructure, utilities, or other complex construction projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of administering or auditing NEC4 / NR / FIDIC contracts.
  • Experience working as part of a project delivery team, either within a client organization or consultancy.
  • Professional report writing skills, analyzing information, and effectively structuring evaluations and recommendations.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to lead projects, deliver high standards in challenging environments, and achieve successful client outcomes. We value proactive learners, knowledge sharing, mentoring junior staff, and supporting bids for new work. We seek individuals who share our values of professionalism, ambition, and excellence, and who will contribute to our team’s growth and success.

Skills and attributes we look for:

  • Professional institution membership (RICS, ICE, etc.), or working towards a recognized professional qualification.
  • Experience in commercial/contract management on UK civil engineering/construction projects.
  • Strong technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
  • Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, disciplined, and commercially savvy.
  • Able to obtain Security Clearance.

We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including pension, private healthcare, flexible working, 25 days’ holiday (with options to buy additional days), a yearly contribution towards gym/healthy living memberships, and more.

Our team culture is progressive, professional, and supportive, emphasizing development, collaboration, and client satisfaction. Join us to be valued as an individual and supported in achieving your goals.
