Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a substantive Consultant Radiologist with a GU subspecialty to join its expanding team at Southport and Ormskirk sites. The post is 10 Programmed Activities (8 direct clinical care, 2 SPA) with flexible subspecialty development.

Applicants should have MBBS/MBCHB, FRCR, GMC Specialist Register (or near CCT), and be on the specialist list. The role includes teaching, audit, and opportunities for research.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBCHB and FRCR or equivalent
• Membership of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
• Specialist register with GMC or due to obtain CCT within six months of interview

Responsibilities

• Maintain expanding department workload and participate in MDT activities.
• Support subspecialty GU imaging and provide supervision to trainees.
• Contribute to audit, clinical governance and research activities.
