Salary: £107,144 - £142,369 per annum + on-call availability supplement (3% of full-time salary).

Borders General Hospital is a modern, well-equipped 284-bed District General Hospital serving South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh.
All new consultants receive support for leadership and management development, with opportunities for coaching and mentoring. An established BGH consultant will serve as a 'buddy' during your initial weeks.
The Role: An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual interested in service redesign, education, and quality improvement. The successful candidate will develop processes within the department. Applications are invited from physicians in Acute Medicine or General Internal Medicine.
Applicants must hold full GMC Registration, a license to practice, and be on the Specialist Register for Acute Medicine or GIM, or within six months of completing training (CCT or equivalent) at the time of interview.
The role involves a commitment to the general medical on-call rota (~1 in 16). The post is full-time (10 PAs/week), with part-time options available.
The successful candidate may develop or maintain a sub-specialty interest within Borders General Hospital (one session per week).
