Salary £122,736 - £128,051 (25/26 payscale)
NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian, and West Lothian. As one of the largest UK health systems and one of the largest teaching Boards in Scotland, we have strategic partnerships with local Universities, local authorities and our four integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 903,000, providing a range of primary care, community based, mental health and acute services. We also provide a wide range of nationally commissioned specialist services for the whole country, as well as regional services to populations ranging from 1.4m to 2.5m.
We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individual to take on a high-impact role at the heart of acute care in NHS Lothian.
As Nurse Director Acute you will be a key member of the acute triumvirate, working closely with the Chief Officer Acute and Medical Director Acute to shape, implement, and embed our clinical and operational vision across the Acute Division and associated Community Services within the Women’s and Children’s Directorate.
You Will Lead, Inspire And Direct Nursing Teams Across Multiple Hospital Sites And Services, Ensuring The Highest Standards Of Compassionate, Safe, And Effective Care. As a Dynamic And Visionary Nurse Leader You Will Bring
- A proven track record of senior nursing leadership within acute care settings
- Strategic and operational acumen, with the ability to lead through complexity
- A deep commitment to improving patient outcomes, equity of access, and staff experience
- Registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse on the Adult part of the NMC Register.
- Professional accountability and leadership.
The Acute Nurse Director will inspire, direct, monitor clinical care governance and promote systemic improvements in clinical care and healthcare quality across the nursing and midwifery workforce within the Acute Division and across the associated Community Services within the Women’s and Children’s Division
