Job summary
The Paediatric diabetes service at BHRUT NHS Trust is one of the busiest in London and the Southeast, treating over 400 children. We are part of the Northeast Thames Diabetes network.
Applications are invited for the post of a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology. We seek an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to join our established team of paediatricians.
The successful applicant will jointly run the diabetes and endocrine service at BHRUT with three existing consultants, a paediatric diabetes speciality doctor, specialist nurses, dietitians, and team members. In addition to diabetes and endocrine duties, the candidate will also serve as an acute general paediatric consultant.
We prefer candidates with diabetes experience and ideally SPIN (not essential, support available) and endocrine experience to enhance our team.
Weekly MDT clinics at Queens Hospital, utilizing web platforms for blood glucose data and point-of-care HbA1c testing. The team uses the Twinkle database for service data collection.
