Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Interventional Radiologist to provide varied IR clinical practice and contribute to the cross-site service across Exeter and Torbay. You will participate in the on-call rota and deliver sessions in dedicated hybrid theatres.

You will have opportunities to develop subspecialist interests and contribute to teaching and training within a collaborative MDT setting.

Qualifications

• Specialist radiology training with IR focus.
• IR experience at consultant level or equivalent.
• Evidence of relevant clinical experience in interventional radiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide varied interventional radiology clinical practice.

Job description

This consultant post sits in the interventional radiology service at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital at Wonford. The work is clinical practice across a cross-site IR service covering Exeter and Torbay, with a share of the IR on-call rota. The post includes dedicated hybrid theatre sessions and one remote day a week, with room to develop subspecialist interests and contribute to teaching. Applicants need specialist training in Clinical Radiology and IR experience at consultant level.

• European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) qualification; candidates working towards EBIR are encouraged to apply
