We are seeking enthusiastic Emergency Medicine Consultants to join the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This role offers the opportunity to work on the front line in a trauma unit and contribute to the development of a new Emergency Centre. The main goal is to collaborate with senior medical and nursing staff to deliver high-quality Emergency Medicine services across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. The position is a 10 PA contract, including clinical duties (1 PA for on-call) and SPA, with additional PAs available upon agreement.
The Trust provides acute hospital services for approximately half a million people in the region, covering picturesque areas of England and Wales. Main locations include Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, offering a wide range of acute services including emergency care, diagnostics, and critical care.
A formal job plan will be agreed within three months of appointment, outlining duties, responsibilities, and objectives, reviewed annually. The plan includes clinical work, teaching, research, and managerial responsibilities, structured around a 10 PA workweek, with flexibility for part-time applicants.
