Job overview

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist based in Stockport at the Department of Psychiatry, Stepping Hill Hospital. The role involves working within a sectorised model alongside other Consultants and supporting junior doctors. The post offers opportunities for service development, teaching, and research involvement.

Main duties of the job

• Provide high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems, inpatient and outpatient.
• Collaborate with other teams and Consultants to ensure cohesive care within the Stockport area.
• Support service development and participate in local and divisional meetings.

Applicants should be on the GMC's Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion, or within six months of completing training in General Adult Psychiatry. On-call frequency is 1 in 16.
