Job summary

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) invites applications for a full-time Consultant Histopathologist at Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. The appointee will join a large NHS organisation providing services across east Suffolk and north Essex.

The post requires CCT or equivalent and Specialist Register; flexible working with modification of content discussed with the Trust. A relocation package up to £8000 plus £20,000 lump sum and 1.5 SPA time are offered for the first 12

Qualifications

• Must have completed CCT or equivalent (Portfolio Pathway).
• Must be on the Specialist Register.
• Applicants unable to work full-time may have job content modified after discussion with the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the departmental rota for routine surgical pathology reporting and dissection.
• Attend MDTs according to rostering and clinical need.
• Participate in the MDT cancer care structure and lead cell pathology in at least one MDT in discussion with colleagues.
• Refer specialist cases to appropriate referral centres for reporting.
