Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant General & Upper GI Surgeon with a specialist interest in Bariatric and benign UGI surgery. The role includes metabolic and weight loss surgery, complex hiatal conditions and biliary procedures.

Proficiency in advanced laparoscopic techniques is essential. The department offers Robotic options and a chance to develop a robotic surgical practice, with involvement in outpatients and fast-track referral triage.

Qualifikationen

• Evidence of completing an approved period of training in General Surgery
• CCT or equivalent in General Surgery with GMC registration
• Experience in upper GI/endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery advantageous
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota and CEPOD lists

Aufgaben

• Take up a Consultant post in General & Upper GI Surgery with Bariatric focus
• Provide assessment to outpatients with wide range of GI conditions
• Participate in triage of fast track referrals and acute surgical care
• Deliver on-call commitments on a 1 in 14 rota and CEPOD lists
• Contribute to departmental governance and teaching

MRCP or FRCS of equivalent to specialty (UK)

Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) or equivalent

CCT or within 6 months of AAC date
