Job summary

Assystem UK is seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our growing ecology team. You will contribute to a diverse range of infrastructure and development projects across the UK, providing practical ecological advice from planning through construction and operation phases.

Collaborating with experienced ecologists and multidisciplinary teams, you will develop your technical capabilities and play a key role in growing Assystem's ecology practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology or a related field.
• Experience delivering ecological surveys and creating technical reports.
• Experience supporting EIAs, HRAs, and mitigation planning.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and support ecological surveys, including habitat and protected species surveys.
• Contribute to ecological assessments and impact evaluations for infrastructure and development projects.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and ecological documentation; support licence applications where required.
• Deliver environmental briefings and toolbox talks to site teams when appropriate.
