Job Details

The position is a full-time Consultant Clinical Scientist in the Biochemistry Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, following the retirement of the current post holder. The role involves supporting the Clinical Biochemistry service across the North Glasgow Sector and contributing strategically and clinically within the laboratory. An interest in laboratory IQC/EQA, automation, and immunoassay is advantageous.

1. Participate in all departmental activities including reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching, and audit.

Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced specialist knowledge and interpretive skills in Clinical Biochemistry.
• Significant Clinical Biochemistry experience.
• HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
• MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry.
• FRCPath qualification.
