NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, one of the UK's largest healthcare systems, employs around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million regionally and nationally.
The role involves working Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm, with salary pro-rata for part-time hours. The post holder will perform daily technical operations in the Immunology and Neuroimmunology lab at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Applicants must be registered Biomedical Scientists with the HCPC. Experience in Immunology or Neuroimmunology diagnostic labs, or familiarity with related techniques, is highly desirable.
The role includes rotating through lab sections, performing manual and automated tests, and completing a specialist portfolio in Clinical Immunology if not already qualified.
This is a part-time position, 21.5 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday. Annex 21 may apply, and participation in a weekend/public holiday on-call rota is required after training.
