The Kent and Medway NHS Trust invites applications for a Consultant Psychiatrist post in the Medway Community CAMHS team. The role focuses on autonomous, clinically accountable practice in a Tier 3 service for under-18s, with emphasis on ADHD, ASD, mood disorders and related conditions.

Applicants should hold MB BS or equivalent, full GMC registration with licence to practise, and be on or near GMC Specialist Register, with Approved Clinician status and S12 approval or ability to obtain them

Formación

• MB BS or equivalent medical qualification required.
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• On GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of CCT in psychiatry.
• Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the MHA, or achievable within 3 months of appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Act as an autonomous, registered practitioner with professional accountability.
• Be responsible for service delivery to patients.
• Assess and treat a range of disorders in children and young people.
• Develop care plans for patients with complex needs.
• Initiate referrals to other specialist services as appropriate.
• Provide information and education to patients and relatives.
