Job summary

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust in Kent is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community CAMHS team serving Thanet, Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate. You will provide autonomous clinical leadership, undertake assessments and treatment for ADHD, ASD, mood disorders, anxiety and related conditions, and contribute to research, education, and multi-disciplinary care.

Qualifications

• MRCPsych or equivalent required.
• GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Approved Clinician status and S12 approval (or eligible).
• Experience in CAMHS or child and adolescent mental health settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as autonomous, registered practitioner accountable for own actions.
• Maintain full GMC registration and professional licensure.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Deliver high-quality services to clients/patients within scope.
• Assess and develop care plans for complex paediatric cases.
• Initiate referrals to specialist services as needed.
• Educate patients and families to support informed choices.
• Ensure practice aligns with evidence-based guidelines and research.
