Job summary

This consultant psychiatrist post sits in the Dartford CAMHS Community team, a generic Tier 3 service for children and young people under 18 across Dartford, Swanley and Gravesham. The work includes assessment and treatment of ADHD, autism, mood disorders, psychosis, PTSD, anxiety and emerging personality disorders.

Part-time and job-share applications are welcome, with GMC registration, Approved Clinician status and S12 approval (or able to achieve within three months) required.

Qualifications

• Excellent specialty knowledge with a bio-psycho-social perspective.
• Experience managing patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Active involvement in CPD and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Work as an autonomous registered practitioner with accountable practice.
• Assess complex patients and develop care plans within competence.
• Evaluate outcomes and refer to specialist services when needed.
• Provide information to patients/relatives for informed choices.
• Ensure practice is supported by evidence and research.
