You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team of anaesthetists and intensivists in the provision of an anaesthetic service to the Trust.
We are currently in a period of growth with the construction of the Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital and with growth of some surgical specialties within the Northern Care Alliance are looking to recruit a substantive Consultant in anaesthesia to work in a busy acute trauma teaching unit.
The MTC at Salford leads on brain injuries but will also lead on Poly-trauma management from across Greater Manchester. Salford Care Organisation is a major teaching hospital affiliated to Manchester University lying approximately 5 miles from central Manchester and is supported by excellent motorway, rail, tram and airport connections. There is a dedicated 24 hour emergency theatre service. We have recently received funding to start work on the Acute Receiving centre which will focus on improving trauma outcomes in the GM region and on continued surgical excellence.
