Job summary

Northampton General Hospital is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our clinical team in Northampton. The role involves delivering expert anaesthetic care across surgical cases within a high‑quality NHS environment and contributing to patient outcomes.

We require full GMC registration, completed specialist training with CCT or equivalent, hospital-based anaesthesia experience, and active CPD participation.

• Participate in on-call rotas and provide emergency anaesthetic cover as required.
• Engage in clinical governance activities, including audit, research, and quality improvement projects.
• Contribute to the training and development of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

• Experience in sub-specialties within anaesthetics (e.g., pain management, intensive care).

• Leadership and management experience.
