Avencia Talent Solutions Limited in Manchester or Leeds is seeking a Construction Underwriter to assess new business for UK contractors, price submissions, and negotiate terms across a liability-led construction package.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 from home), broker visits, and occasional travel to London, with scope for technical development and progression as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting construction risks.
• Ability to price and quote for contractor liability and contract works.
• Comfort negotiating terms with brokers and clients.

Responsabilités

• Assess and price new business for contractors' liability and contract works.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and follow quotations through to placement.
• Develop broker relationships through regular contact and visits.
• Work with distribution colleagues to identify opportunities and generate submissions.
• Manage your pipeline and contribute to new business targets.
