Job summary

Nacro in Leeds is seeking a dedicated teacher to support young people in education, with a focus on learning and progression. You will plan, deliver and assess lessons, while supporting students pastorally and contributing to the centre’s community.

The role requires GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or equivalent Level 2, construction qualifications, and an enhanced DBS. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, and there is opportunity for salary progression within the first year.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or equivalent Level 2 required.
• Construction-based qualifications level 2 and above required.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for learning by planning lessons and developing resources.
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to support improvement.
• Assess students' work to ensure they achieve as expected for next steps.
• Work with colleagues to improve delivery and student experience.
• Deliver tutorial or skills lessons using ready-made resources as needed.
