Job summary

Nacro, based in Leeds, is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education Centre. The role involves assisting and supporting teaching staff across a broad spectrum of academic and vocational subjects within the classroom and around the centre.

You will help create a positive learning environment, support learners toward their goals, and work with a friendly team to ensure quality provision for the local community. DBS enhanced with Barred Lists is essential.

Qualifications

• DBS check is required and enhanced with Barred Lists.
• Experience with LLDD/SEN learners is desirable.
• Experience in education settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support learners across subject areas to achieve outcomes.
• Support teaching staff with planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
• Adapt support to individual learners’ needs and progress.
• Provide feedback to staff on learner progress against targets.
• Collaborate with external agencies when required in a multi-agency setting.
