Nacro is seeking a passionate teacher to help young people learn and achieve. You will join a small local team, focused on teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students pastorally, with duties related to assurance and course delivery.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, developing resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback to enable success. DBS is enhanced; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent Level 2.
• Experience in trade preferred. Construction-based qualifications level 2 and above.
• All candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
• A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, Nacro is proud to support those new to teaching.

Salary - £26,807 - £31,982 per annum, - (Dependant on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type - Permanent /Full Time

Hours – 37.5 Hours per week

Location - Leeds

DBS requirement - Enhanced DBS

This role offers a starting salary between £26,807 - £31,982, depending on qualifications and experience. Subject to meeting performance standards and agreed criteria, there is an opportunity for salary progression within the first year, with further increases available over time. What will I be doing as a teacher at Nacro?

As a key member of the teaching team, your main focus will always be teaching, learning, and assessment, supporting students to make appropriate progress in lessons, resulting in them achieving qualifications. You will also play an important role within the centre community, supporting your students pastorally, and will have duties related to assurance, making sure our courses run on time, and to a high standard.
