Job summary

Nacro is seeking a passionate teacher to help young people learn and achieve. You will join a small local team, focused on teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students pastorally, with duties related to assurance and course delivery.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, developing resources, monitoring progress and providing feedback to enable success. DBS is enhanced; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent Level 2.
• Experience in trade preferred. Construction-based qualifications level 2 and above.
• All candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
• A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, Nacro is proud to support those new to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Preparing for learning by planning lessons, developing resources, and caring for our classroom spaces.
• Monitoring students’ progress on their course, providing feedback and support so that students can improve.
• Assessing students and their work so that they achieve as expected and as needed for their next steps.
• Working with your colleagues to enhance delivery, identify support needs, and contributing to student experience and enrichment.
• You may be asked to deliver tutorial or skills lessons as part of your role using our ready-made lessons resources.
