Winner Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Construction Tutor for a specialist SEMH school in Birmingham. You will deliver practical bricklaying and construction lessons, combining DT projects to foster creativity and practical problem solving.

The role focuses on helping pupils build confidence, employability and life skills in a structured, supportive learning environment. You will engage pupils who may face barriers to education, delivering hands‑on lessons, maintaining safety and adapting

Formación

• Experience in construction or related trades.
• Experience delivering practical or vocational training.
• Ability to engage and motivate pupils in SEMH settings.
• Understanding of safeguarding and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver practical construction and vocational lessons.
• Teach bricklaying skills and basic construction techniques.
• Deliver Design Technology projects to foster creativity and problem solving.
• Develop pupils’ construction knowledge, tools, materials and workplace practices.
• Introduce vocational pathways and careers in construction.
• Create hands‑on learning experiences to build employability skills.
• Adapt lessons to individual needs and learning styles.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to support development.
