Job summary

Lucideon is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join our Construction – Structures team in Staffordshire. You will carry out testing on a wide range of construction products to British and European standards, analyze data, and produce high‑quality technical reports for clients.

The role requires interpreting test requirements, developing methods, coordinating with clients, and setting up instrumentation. A Level 3 qualification and experience in mechanical/civil engineering are essential; a

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (A-Level / BTEC / HNC or equivalent) in Mechanical, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous work experience or university project work related to Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Basic CAD competency (2D/3D) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical test requirements.
• Developing and compiling test methods.
• Liaising with clients in person and remotely.
• Identifying and specifying test and measurement equipment.
• Instructing construction of test rigs and sample preparation.
• Setting up instrumentation and data gathering systems.
• Conducting a range of physical and mechanical tests.
• Collecting, analysing and formatting test data.
• Producing accurate, clear test reports for clients.
• Supporting wider team activities and improving efficiency.
