Job summary

McHale Komatsu seeks an experienced Technology Operations Supervisor to lead the Construction Technology Department and grow our integrated tech offering. You will oversee Special Applications and Field Support Engineers, coordinating nationwide installations, commissioning and customer support across the UK.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on supervision, planning, and strong customer collaboration.

Qualifications

Experience in construction technology or machine-control systems.
Strong knowledge of earthmoving and construction machinery.
Experience installing, commissioning or supporting technology systems.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience leading, supervising or mentoring engineers.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support the Special Applications and Field Support Engineering team.
Coordinate nationwide technical and customer support.
Plan and oversee installations, commissioning and machine handovers.
Ensure work meets company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
Provide technical leadership and escalation support.
Develop installation procedures and best-practice guidance.
Coordinate engineer training and manufacturer accreditation.
Collaborate with Product Support and Aftersales to deliver complete technology solutions.
Support demonstrations, customer trials and product launches.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and OEM partners.
Travel nationally to support customers and the depot network.
