Job summary

The Multi-Skills Lecturer role supports a construction and vocational education team on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training across various construction disciplines to help learners progress into employment or further study.

You will plan lessons, assess progress and maintain a safe workshop while keeping up-to-date with industry practices and awarding-body requirements. Strong communication and inclusive teaching are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
• Experience delivering training, teaching or tutoring.
• Professional and positive approach to teaching and learner development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based lessons across multiple construction disciplines.
• Plan and prepare lessons, demonstrations, practical assessments and learning activities.
• Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, professional workshop and learning environment.
• Ensure teaching and assessment meet awarding-body and college requirements.
• Keep records of learner progress, attendance and assessments.
• Support learners with development and progression into construction industry.
• Keep industry knowledge and technical skills up to date.
