Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a General Foreman to join our construction team based in Brighton or Chatham. The role focuses on managing safety on site, coordinating operations, and supporting Kier and supply chain partners to deliver high-quality results for clients.

45 hours per week with some flexibility on hours. You will supervise site activities, run inductions, and maintain progress records to Kier safety standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of setting up and running a construction site.
• NVQ Level 1/2 qualification.
• CSCS card Supervisor - Gold, Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
• SSSTS training completed.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety on site including inductions, Toolbox Talks, and Daily Task Briefings to Site Operatives.
• Supervise site activities and allocate duties to Site Operatives, ensuring tasks are within their skill levels.
• Coordinate site operations for Kier and supply chain partners to Kier's Health and Safety standards.
• Organise and requisition site equipment, plant and materials to ensure successful completion of works.
• Maintain daily records of site activities and liaise with Line Managers to produce progress reports.
