Job summary

Kier in Essex (Stansted) seeks an Operations Manager to lead construction projects across multiple sites within the Eastern South business unit. You will manage resources, finances, and assets to deliver contracts up to £75m annually within a portfolio exceeding £150m.

You will oversee pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safety, quality and profitability, while developing your team and maintaining client relationships. 37.5 hours weekly with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Construction or equivalent.
• Professional body qualification or in progress is desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety, health and environmental culture across projects.
• Manage contract execution to maximise return while maintaining client relationships.
• Oversee delivery from pre-construction to practical completion ensuring quality and progress.
• Manage project finances including revenue, costs and cashflow to maximise profitability.
• Lead and develop your team, undertake performance reviews and succession planning.
