Job summary

Flow Student, the student accommodation platform of MCR Property Group, is growing its finance team in Manchester. We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to process invoices, raise and log purchase orders, and keep supplier records accurate across multiple sites.

You will work with the Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, use Sage Intacct and Excel, respond to supplier queries, and assist with payment runs. Formal qualifications are not essential, but accuracy, organisation, and a proactive attitude

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a purchase ledger role.
• Raising and managing purchase orders.
• Logging and coding invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders and processing utility bills across multiple sites.
• Obtaining invoice approvals, responding to supplier queries and supporting payment runs.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience of Sage Intacct or a similar accounting system desirable.
• Excellent phone etiquette and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in property, lettings or a multi-site business would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and maintain supplier records across multiple sites.
• Raise and manage purchase orders and log/coding invoices.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and process utility bills.
• Obtain invoice approvals and respond to supplier queries.
• Support payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and audit trails; ensure accuracy of financial records.
