Job summary

Marks & Spencer is seeking a seasoned professional to lead construction engineering, planning and project delivery across renewal, extension and new space initiatives. You will drive scoping, governance and handover, using data and stakeholder insights to guide investment decisions.

The role requires strong programme management experience, with a focus on safety, compliance and effective supplier partnerships across UK sites. Collaboration across Retail and Property teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant project or programme management experience in construction or engineering.
• Experience with tender processes, contracts, and specifications to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Take project briefs and develop scoping, planning documents, proposals and business cases.
• Manage renewal, extension and new space projects from conception to handover.
• Gather information and use stakeholder and data insights to inform delivery and investment decisions.
• Coordinate meetings, governance, reporting and escalation of risks and issues.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with legislation and project governance.
• Lead site management, coordinate contractors and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Build relationships across Retail and Property, supporting leadership while maintaining confidentiality.
