Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead a portfolio of building projects from scoping to delivery. You will manage tender processes, ensure CDM compliance, and oversee Designers and Contractors to meet safety, time, and budget targets.

The role operates hybrid from Mogden (TW7 7LW) with a strong emphasis on governance and reporting. Applicants should have a construction management qualification and solid experience in facilities management and contractor

Qualifications

• Hold a HND/HNC/BEng/NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent, or have a strong Construction, Mechanical or Electrical background.
• Have strong construction or facilities management experience.
• Experience scoping construction projects from conception to procurement of contractors.
• Experience managing contractor performance and audits.
• Knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Independently scope and deliver projects, defining requirements with Operational Specialists.
• Manage end-to-end tender process including contractor selection, evaluation and award.
• Ensure CDM and health & safety compliance, oversee Principal Designers and Contractors.
• Review pre-construction docs such as Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and H&S plans.
• Coordinate contractor inductions and communicate site risks and hazards.
• Monitor project performance across safety, environment, quality, programme and budget.
