Construction Project Lead – Scotland (Fire Station)

Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Project Manager to join the Scotland team, based in Livingston / Stepps. You will lead delivery of a new build fire station project, ensuring safe, timely outcomes through effective management of people, resources and stakeholders.

You will oversee day-to-day activities within the Scotland team, coordinating with supply chains, internal resources, and external bodies to meet operational and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading delivery on projects within main contracting environments.
• Ability to manage all phases from tender input and pre-construction to practical completion.
• Strong communication skills to chair meetings with key stakeholders and produce high level reports.
• Construction qualification at HND/Degree level or equivalent, along with SMSTS, CSCS Card and Full driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project delivery, managing teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and to high safety and quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate the supply chain, external bodies and internal resources to maintain project budgets, programmes and quality to Kier standards.
• Act as the main client point of contact, developing excellent working relationships and promoting opportunities for Kier.
• Take responsibility for implementing health, safety and environmental policies, ensuring full compliance across all project activities.
• Mentor and support site teams, sharing knowledge to develop others while managing performance and outputs.
