Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Pre-Construction Project Manager for its Scotland business based in Stepps, Glasgow with hybrid working. You will lead the pre-construction phase across a diverse portfolio including high-rise residential retrofit and local authority projects, ensuring design outputs and milestones align with client objectives.

You will collaborate with planning and delivery teams to set up projects for successful delivery, with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects during pre-construction, design development and mobilisation in a main contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design management and project delivery principles.
• Experience with high-rise residential, refurbishment, retrofit or public sector projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying or related discipline, and a Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction phase of multiple projects, coordinating activities from opportunity award through mobilisation.
• Develop project delivery strategies that align with client objectives and business requirements.
• Ensure design outputs meet client requirements, statutory obligations and Kier standards while supporting value engineering reviews.
• Work with planning and operational teams to establish milestones and critical path activities.
• Build effective relationships with local authority clients, consultants, delivery teams and supply chain partners.
