Job summary

McLaughlin and Harvey in Bristol seeks an Engineer to join our team on high‑value projects. You will ensure all site activities comply with SHEQ policies, supervise subcontractors, manage RAMS, and assist in delivering works to contract drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Essential – Degree, HND or Equivalent.
• Strong previous experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrable experience in setting out large scale contracts.
• Valid driving licence.
• SMSTS training.
• Desirable – Previous experience working on large projects.
• Previous experience working on concrete structures such as slipform or jumpform.
• First aid training.
• Experience in use of Fieldview and 4P Viewpoint.
• Good IT Skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Induct and ensure RAMS are in place for all personnel and subcontractors.
• Supervise site labour and coordinate sub‑contractors.
• Manage sub contract packages and assist project team to meet contract drawings and specifications.
• Produce RAMS for directly employed labour and approve RAMS for other elements.
• Maintain records, INSPECT/TEST plans and NCRs as required.
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control.
