Job summary

McHale Komatsu in the UK is recruiting an Apprentice Construction Plant Engineer based in Plymouth to start a rewarding career in heavy plant engineering. The 4-year fixed-term programme includes a 3-year college-based apprenticeship, with hands-on work in the workshop and in the field.

You will train alongside experienced service engineers, gain practical experience, learn to carry out repairs, inspections and diagnose faults, and develop planning and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths, English and Science at grade 4/C or better.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Keen to learn and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gaining hands-on experience in workshop and field environments.
• Assisting with maintenance and repair of construction equipment.
• Learning major repairs and component inspections.
• Developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
