Job summary

Talk Recruitment is seeking a Planner / Construction Planner for a reputable building main contractor in the West Midlands. The role combines office planning with site visits to support preconstruction and live works on residential and mixed-use projects.

You will use Asta PowerProject and MS Office to develop and update schedules, track progress, and report to the project team. Intermediate and Senior planners are both welcome, with a strong emphasis on organisation and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as Planner or related role on construction projects.
• Exposure to scheduling and programming on building projects.
• Main contractor background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise construction schedules and milestones.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate preconstruction and live works.
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors to maintain schedule.

Opportunity to join a reputable building and residential main contractor, part of a close knit team working on a range of low rise and high rise residential projects.

• -This company have a very strong order book for 2021 and 2022.
• -Long term local regional projects in the West Midlands.

Role

Mix of office and site visits working at preconstruction stage and live works on construction projects.

Software in use is Asta.

Requirements

To be considered for this Planner role you must meet the following criteria:

• Previous employment as a Planner or Site Manager / Engineer that has had exposure to Scheduling and Programming.
• Previous experience on construction / building projects such as (Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, MOJ, Residential or Leisure) is essential.
• Previous main contractor employment.
• Expertise in planning software, ideally Asta power project and other MS packages.
• Tender planning experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Confident and well organized.
• Results driven.
• High level of communication and client facing skills.
• Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).

Remuneration

• £45,000 - £55,000(Dependent on experience)
