Job summary

Gold Group Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Planner for a high-profile, £150m new build project based in Bedfordshire. You will own the planning function, develop and maintain the detailed programme, and collaborate with the Project Director and site team to meet milestones and programme objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record with UK main contractors on major schemes.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK main contracting experience.
• Proven experience on new build construction projects.
• Previous Senior Planner level on major projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work confidently with Project Directors, site teams and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning function for the £150m new build project.
• Develop, manage and update the detailed construction programme using Asta Powerproject.
• Work closely with the Project Director and site team to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Monitor progress against the baseline programme and provide accurate forecasting.
• Produce regular programme updates, progress reports and programme analysis.
• Work with the construction team to develop mitigation and recovery strategies where required.
• Provide planning input into key project decisions and delivery strategies.

Title: Senior Planner
Location: Bedford
Salary: £90-110,000 + car allowance + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading UK main contractor on a prestigious £150m new build project in Bedfordshire.

As a key member of the project team, you will take ownership of the planning function, working closely with the Project Director, site team and wider project leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Planner to take a lead role on a significant project, working within an experienced delivery team and playing a genuine role in shaping the project's programme and successful outcome.

The Role

As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of planning and programme management for the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning function for the £150m new build project.
• Developing, managing and updating the detailed construction programme using Asta Powerproject.
• Working closely with the Project Director and site team to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Monitoring progress against the baseline programme and providing accurate forecasting.Producing regular programme updates, progress reports and programme analysis.
• Working with the construction team to develop mitigation and recovery strategies where required.
• Providing planning input into key project decisions and delivery strategies.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner with a proven track record working for UK main contractors on major new build construction projects.

You will be confident taking ownership of the planning function and working collaboratively with senior project leadership and the site team. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside strong technical planning capabilities.
