Construction Planner Position

We are currently seeking a Construction Planner for work with a specialist steelwork and architectural metalwork contractor covering projects around Basildon (Essex) / London. This role is available as a contract or permanent position for the right candidate.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Analyzing project requirements and defining scope, schedule, and resource needs.
2. Collaborating with project teams to gather input and adjust plans as necessary.
3. Monitoring project progress and updating schedules regularly to reflect changes.
4. Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
5. Preparing and presenting reports on project status to management.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
7. Assisting in resource allocation and management to optimize efficiency.
8. Facilitating communication among team members and external partners.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience as a planner or similar role.
• Previous experience within steelwork and architectural metalwork or similar fields.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ASTA, MS Project).
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
