Job summary

Bauer Media Outdoor in St Helens is seeking a Construction Operative to join our team. You’ll work in a two-person crew breaking ground and installing digital units and bus shelters, with access to a HGV Class 2 vehicle.

This is a physical role and will involve site travel, occasional nights and reading technical drawings. Salary is £39,000 with an annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and fully expensed tools and PPE.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Class 2 HGV licence.
• NRSWA accreditation to Operative standard.
• CDM knowledge.
• Excavation and sub-structure knowledge.
• RAMS understanding.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Competency in use of power tools such as Hydraulic breakers and Disc Saws.
• CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook.
• CPCS Slinger.
• Competency in CAT use.

Responsibilities

• Transport digital units from the depot to the installation site by HGV.
• Break ground and install digital units.
• Replace component parts on digital units.
• Follow CDM 2015 regulations.
• Manage traffic and ensure site safety with segregation measures.
• Follow Health and Safety policies and site risk assessments.
• Safely use and maintain tools and equipment on site.
