National Skills Agency Ltd in Peterborough is seeking a Construction Multi Skills Tutor to deliver hands-on Level 1 Multi Skills Construction training, helping learners progress to further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

The role requires experience across trades, a passion for teaching, and strong communication to manage diverse groups. Includes safeguarding responsibilities and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Construction Multi Skills across trades (plastering, joinery, painting & decorating, bricklaying, or multi-trade).
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical, engaging construction training sessions.
• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to learner needs.
• Support learners with individual progression plans and goals.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and pastoral support.
• Track and report learner progress effectively.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards are met.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Conduct risk assessments for all practical activities.

Job Title: Construction Multi Skills Tutor

Location: Peterborough

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (Dependant on Experience)

The Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Construction Multi Skills Tutor to join their team in Medway. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction professional or multi-trade specialist to inspire the next generation of learners and support them in developing practical skills and confidence.

As the Construction Multi Skills Tutor, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training across Level 1 Multi Skills Construction, helping learners progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

About You

• Experienced in Construction Multi Skills (e.g. Plastering, Joinery, Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, or general multi-trade)
• Passionate about teaching, training, and inspiring learners
• Confident delivering practical, engaging sessions to diverse groups
• Organised, reliable, and an excellent communicator

Qualifications & Requirements - As the Construction Multi Skills Tutor

• Industry-recognised qualification in Construction/Multi Skills
• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to achieve)
• Experience in construction industry essential
• FE teaching experience desirable
