Job summary

The JRL Group is seeking an ambitious Buyer to join our in-house Buying team in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You will assist Senior Buyers with procuring materials for major commercial and residential schemes, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will help manage budgets, schedule materials, and handle supplier queries. Training will be provided, with opportunities to progress within the business and work on high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement processes and supplier management.
• Ability to monitor budgets and control costs across sites.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure best price and terms.
• Excellent time management to meet project deadlines.
• Effective communication with site teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials within budgets and on schedule to progress works on site.
• Produce monthly budget reports for materials for each site.
• Schedule materials and prepare requisitions.
• Ensure materials meet specs, timelines, and value.
