Job summary

SP Energy Networks in the West of Scotland region is seeking a Construction Manager (Civils / Electrical) to lead the Construction Management Team across substation/network projects. You will oversee development, procurement and delivery from concept to closure, ensuring regulatory compliance and high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred engineering degree in civil or electrical.
• Current 5 SMSTS qualification desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing construction projects under CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, procurement and construction delivery from concept to closure.
• Direct management as Principal Contractor or Client’s Representative with CDM compliance.
• Manage environmental & sustainability regulatory requirements across the supply chain.
• Drive commercial management and CAPEX risk control.
• Coordinate and monitor all external stakeholders and packages.
• Lead onsite construction management team and mentor trainee Site Managers.
• Ensure Quality Management to meet contract budget and reduce OPEX.
