Job summary

ScottishPower is hiring a Construction Manager (Civils / Electrical) for the West of Scotland region. You will lead the Construction Management Team through development, procurement, delivery and execution of substation and network projects on a major transmission programme.

You will oversee safety, regulatory compliance and environmental requirements, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver high-value projects while supporting the company’s net-zero

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical or Civils construction within a Transmission environment.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing construction projects and/or contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CIOB/MCIOB chartership programmes are encouraged.
• Experience with NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, procurement and construction delivery from concept to closure within disaggregated and EPC models in line with CAPEX.
• Direct management as Principal Contractor or Client’s Representative to ensure regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law, CDM 2015 and Environmental Legislation.
• Manage environmental & sustainability regulatory requirements across the supply chain to support net zero targets.
• Oversee commercial management and administration of each work package to control CAPEX risk.
• Coordinate and monitor external stakeholders, supply, civil, electrical, cable and OHL packages per standards.
